From the very first moment you see your newborn baby, your world will change. Before you know it, your sleepy, squishy baby will be rolling over, crawling, and walking. You only have one opportunity to capture your newborn and all of their newness. Savor these moments forever with timeless newborn photography. At Image Photography, Matt and Shea specialize in fine art newborn portraits. Our studio is stocked with props, hats, and everything you need to create beautiful, custom images of your baby.
Shea and I are both photographers with the PPA (Professional Photographers Association) and are trained in the techniques used to not only capture your baby’s first portraits but also to ensure their safety during the session. Our studio is also a fully insured professional studio, so when you step inside for your session, you and your family can sit back and enjoy this special event.
We understand that every family, baby, and budget is unique. That's why we offer two types of newborn photo sessions. The "simplistic newborn session" includes a blanket background and various poses, resulting in 15-20 images for you to choose from. Our "signature newborn session" offers scene and wrap changes, as well as family portraits. We are confident that you will love the images from either session. Newborn Session Simplicity
$100 deposit to book the session
a 1-hour session that takes place in our dedicated newborn studio with portraits of your little one swaddled in various scenes created by Shea. (This session does not include family breakout poses)
A pre-session phone consult with us to discuss your session and what you are looking for from your newborn session experience
Professional deep cleaning of newborn studio to make sure that baby has a safe and healthy environment for the session
Access to our extensive collection of newborn props, wraps, blankets, and furniture
The session produces around 20-25 images that will be edited with blemish removal, skin softening, and color correction to ensure that your images look perfect
You will receive 10 high-resolution images with digital download and full print release that you can choose at your ordering session.
Ordering and Viewing Consult in our studio’s viewing room, about a week later, to look at your images and make your selections. Pricing is a la cart and prints start at $15 while additional digitals start at $50
The Newborn Simplicity Session takes your little one and wraps them up nicely and snuggly, keeping them completely happy and extremely easy to work with and maneuver into various swaddled poses. (This session does not include naked baby or family/sibling portraits.)
The $100 deposit reserves your time at the studio and is non-refundable. Digital images are available for purchase at the ordering session but are not included with the session deposit.
Newborn Signature Session
$150 to book the session
2-3 hour session that takes place in our dedicated newborn studio with various scenes created by Shea. Then we move over to the big studio for your first portraits as a family, featuring break-out poses with parents and siblings

The session produces around 30-40 images that will be edited with blemish removal, skin softening, and color correction to ensure that your images look perfect

Your session fee of $150 will be credited back toward print credit at your ordering session
The $100 deposit reserves your time at the studio and is non-refundable. Digital images are available for purchase at the ordering session but are not included with the session deposit.
Other Information
We photograph 5 days a week, Tuesday- Saturday, but if your schedule is completely booked on those days, we can book on Sunday on a case-by-case basis. When booking please fill out your top three choices for your session time.
When you book your session with Matt & Shea Photography, your specific time is removed from our calendar and not offered to anyone else, and due to this session deposits are non-refundable.
Please make sure to select the session that will fulfill your photography needs for the time, outfits, and location you desire. Simplicity sessions are one outfit and take place in the studio or at a location picked by Matt & Shea due to the time limitations.
Due to the safety of our equipment, if your session is outdoors and there is a 40% chance of rain or a humidity level higher than 50% the session will be rescheduled or moved into the studio should you desire. There is no penalty for weather reschedules.
If your child is appearing ill, or has been sick, please contact the studio and reschedule your session. Sick babies do not like getting their picture made and Matt and Shea are around a lot of children and our number one priority is to keep them healthy and safe.
Additional images will be taken and shown at all viewing sessions and will be available for purchase if desired.
I travel all over the country for photography and keep my pricing the same except travel. Please contact the studio for a travel quote at 423-521-7427. Please have an exact location where you would like the session to take place so we can plan accordingly
If you need to cancel your session for any reason, or that you need to reschedule, please contact the studio at 423-521-7427 within 24 hours so we can move you. If we are not contacted and no one shows up at the arranged time, the deposit is forfeited.
