Outdoor Family Sessions with Matt and Shea
Our outdoor family photo sessions are the perfect way to capture your family's most cherished moments against the backdrop of nature's beauty. With a keen eye for capturing natural, candid moments, Matt and Shea create timeless photographs that authentically reflect the love and bonds within your family. Whether it's a fun-filled day at the park or a scenic hike in the mountains, our sessions are designed to let your family's unique dynamics shine through. location, location, location
With the amazing views and scenery that Chattanooga has to offer, finding a location as a photographer has never been easier. I have several locations around the studio that I have access too, like Chester Frost Park, private fields and of course our beautiful downtown River Front at Coolidge Park, but we are open to any ideas that you might have.
what is included with the outdoor session?
Here is what is included in your session fee:
60-minute session at a location within 15 miles of the studio, time includes travel. For other locations please contact the studio at 423.521.7427 for booking
Up to 2 outfit changes are allowed concerning time
A pre-session phone consult with Matt to discuss your session should you desire.
The session creates 30-40 images to select from when placing your order
Social Samples posted on our social accounts that you can use or share to your social account with your permission of course
Ordering and Viewing Consult in our studio’s theatre room around a week after your session to look at your images and make your selections. An order is expected on the day of the session. Digital pricing starts at $40 while print pricing starts at $15 when creating your custom package.
Clothing
COLOR IS IN! This photo shoot is meant to capture your family, including individuality and style. Helpful tips to keep in mind when choosing outfits:
Think coordinating, not matching. Incorporate colors and patterns that fit well together, not all professional family pictures have to be black shirts and Khaki pants.
Don’t be afraid of color! Choose a few neutral colors, and then add a few bright accents to your outfits. Accessories such as scarves, necklaces, and clothing layers are great for this.
Make sure all clothing fits just right, nothing too baggy and nothing too tight, as a hint, mainly for the dads out there, if you wore them your Senior year of high school…time to let them retire.
Stay away from screen print and logged items, I know the Gucci shirt costs $500, and it looks great… But we want the picture to be about you and your family, their personality and connection. So no logged shirts help make that happen.

Book your outdoor family session
You have two options when booking your session, you can use the button below and book your session online, once you complete your transaction please give the studio 48 hours to contact you and confirm your date. You can also call us and book over the phone at (423)521-7427 (or click the button below).
After Your Session
Once the session is over, you will receive a sneak peek of my favorite portrait from your session on Facebook and Instagram, unfortunately I am not able to tag you in that post, so make sure you like, follow and subscribe to my social pages/accounts. If you would rather a sample not be shared, simply let me know at your session or at your phone consult. Creation and Selection Session
A week after your session we will meet back at the studio for our creation and selection session. This is where it all comes together! You’ll come into the studio to view your images and make your final selections. View your images on an 8 ft projector and relax in our custom selection room with samples of all the different products that we offer. There we will create amazing pieces of artwork featuring your photos. Before your Creation and Selection Session we ask that you send me a picture of a wall or walls that you would like to have artwork hung up on, with that picture we will design an amazing wall display to create the perfect look for your home. Use my 20 years of experience to help decorate and get what you truly want out of your session. I want you to leave the studio with excitement and confidence about the products you have selected.
