Is it your baby's First Birthday? Can you believe how fast that year went by? From sleepless nights to coos and giggles, from rolling over to sitting, crawling, and walking - it's been a whirlwind! Now it's time to celebrate your baby's first year by smashing some cake! This is a massive milestone for both of you, as your baby is officially a toddler now. Whether they joyfully dive into the cake or make a mess by throwing it around, this session will create lasting memories.
Here are our Smash Cake Session Options:

$395 with a $75 deposit to book
If you are looking for a cake smash and that is it, this is the option for you. Bring the baby and the cake and let us create a custom scene for your little one to destroy their cake on while Matt & Shea capture every single moment. This session gives you 15-20 images to choose from when making your selections.
30-minute studio session that will take place in our custom-designed 1500-square-foot studio
showcase your little ones’ smash cake/one-year-old outfit
You’ll have access to our props and decorations if desired.
10 digital images (with option to purchase additional) in high resolution of your choice with full print release
Ordering and Viewing Consult in our studio’s viewing room, about a week later, to look at your images and make your selections.
double the smash experience

Consider our Double the Smash Experience if you're seeking more than just a cake smash photo. This one-hour session includes outfit changes and family photos. Begin with showcasing your little one in cute outfits, then move on to a quick family portrait if you desire and finally end the session with a messy cake experience. This session gives you 30-40 images to choose from when making your selections.
1-hour studio session that will take place in our custom-designed 1500-square-foot studio
Up to 3 outfit changes
You’ll have access to our props and decorations if desired.
20 digital images (with option to purchase additional) in high resolution of your choice with full print release

Smash Cake Simplicity
$75 deposit to book your session

A pre-session phone consult with us to discuss what theme you are wanting to create for the smash cake session and what outfit for them to wear.
Access to our large collection of props and furniture to add to your birthday boy/girl scene.
Each session produces a social sample to be posted on our Instagram, Facebook, or other social media platforms. Feel free to share this image on your page and make sure to tag us;)
The session produces around 15-20 images that will be edited with blemish removal, skin softening, and color correction to ensure that your images look perfect
You also get an Ordering and Viewing Consult in our studio’s viewing room about a week later to look at your images and make your selections. Pricing is a la cart and prints start at $15 while additional digitals start at $50
Your deposit of $75 will be credited back toward print credit at your ordering session
The $75 deposit reserves your time at the studio and is non-refundable. Digital images are available for purchase at the ordering session but are not included with the session deposit.

1-hour studio session that will take place in our custom-designed 1500-square-foot studio

Other Information
We photograph 5 days a week, Tuesday- Saturday, but if your schedule is completely booked on those days, we can book on Sunday on a case-by-case basis. When booking please fill out your top three choices for your session time.
When you book your session with Matt & Shea Photography, your specific time is removed from our calendar and not offered to anyone else, and due to this session deposits are non-refundable.
Please make sure to select the session that will fulfill your photography needs for the time, outfits, and location you desire. Simplicity sessions are one outfit and take place in the studio or at a location picked by Matt & Shea due to the time limitations.
Due to the safety of our equipment, if your session is outdoors and there is a 40% chance of rain or a humidity level higher than 50% the session will be rescheduled or moved into the studio should you desire. There is no penalty for weather reschedules.
If your child is appearing sick, or has been sick, please contact the studio and reschedule your session. Sick babies do not like getting their picture made and Matt and Shea are around a lot of children and our number one priority is to keep them healthy and safe.
Additional images will be taken and shown at all viewing sessions and will be available for purchase if desired.
I travel all over the country for photography and keep my pricing the same with the exception of travel. Please contact the studio for a travel quote at 423-521-7427. Please have an exact location where you would like the session to take place so we can plan accordingly
In the event that you need to cancel your session for any reason, or that you need to reschedule, please contact the studio at 423-521-7427 within 24 hours so we can move you. If we are not contacted and no one shows up at the arranged time, the deposit is forfeited.
